Brief Description

This is a recipe to make dinosaur eggs out of discarded coffee grounds. Hide dino toys inside and hide them like Easter eggs!

Objective

This activity is great for a treasure hunt. After making the eggs, you can hide them either individually or in a bunch. You can make a nest out of grass to place the eggs in. You can decide whether to completely hide the eggs or partially obscure the eggs. The color the coffee grounds add creates the look of prehistoric dinosaur eggs.

Dino Egg Recipe:

  • dinosaur toys to hide inside the eggs
  • 2.5 cups coffee grounds (get these for free at Starbucks or other coffee shops)
  • 2.5 cups flour
  • 1.5 cups salt
  • 1 cup water

Mix into a dough. It needs 1 week to dry. Turn the eggs over everyday so they can dry evenly.
